Our attentive staff and expert chefs will delight you with local delicacies and some of the best seafood available. Using only the freshest ingredients, your private menu plan can be discussed every day.

We excel in seafood, and the kitchen can also prepare many traditional Kenyan, Swahili and vegetarian dishes.

Shimoni is famous for its fresh, local mangrove crab, cooked to absolute perfection in a variety of ways: steamed, chilli, ginger, crab cakes... the list is endless.

Coconuts are the foundation for classic Swahili dishes - in the rice, in the sauces and on seafood. For our signature dishes we hand grate our own coconuts that grow on the property. This is true local flavour.

Our outdoor terrace commands stunning views over the Wasini Channel. The best dining, expert wine pairings and outstanding service - what more could you want?

At Shimoni we live by the ethos of sustainability: local products and zero waste, especially food waste. Most of our food is purchased daily and we buy only what we need based on occupancy and restaurant reservations.
